ClickASnap
ClickASnap is a photo-sharing platform where users earn money from image views, retain full rights to their photos, and can sell them as digital or physical products. As a DevOps Engineer and Solutions Architect I have: ● Designed and deployed scalable infrastructure with AWS CDK, managing stack dependencies and supporting multiple environments (DEV, UAT, BETA, PROD). ● Reviewed and resized compute instance classes to optimize costs and performance. ● Achieved $10k/mo cost savings. ● Implemented image search by deploying AI model to AWS Sagemaker and integrating it into the backend services. ● Enhanced application security by utilizing private VPC subnets, security groups, and IAM roles and policies. ● Implemented AWS ECS setup for hosting Django, Celery and NextJS services including auto-scaling policies and real-time monitoring. ● Built a monitoring solution combining CloudWatch, SNS, and Lambda to send humanreadable alerts to Slack for threshold breaches. ● Integrated tracing tools like AWS X-Ray and Sentry. ● Performed benchmarking of the app. ● Resolved performance bottlenecks like N+1 problem by parallelizing workloads and optimizing DB queries. ● Setup CI/CD pipelines for Django, Celery and NextJS services using AWS CodePipeline.
OnTheSnow
OnTheSnow.com is a leading platform providing real-time snow reports, weather forecasts, and resort information for over 4000 ski areas worldwide. As a Primary Backend Engineer I have: ● Designed and implemented Serverless ETL pipelines with AWS Step Functions and Lambda capable of ingesting hundreds of GBs of data and processing 250k images daily. ● Optimized the ETL pipelines and resolved bottlenecks leading to 60% performance improvements and 50% cost savings. ● Deployed real-time monitoring with alarms and metrics, integrated with PagerDuty for instant incident response. ● Used AWS CloudFormation and SAM to manage and scale the cloud infrastructure in DEV, UAT and Production environments. ● Implemented data quality dashboards with Retool.
WAMSport
● Established the requirements for the application. ● Developed architecture of the application. ● Designed PostgreSQL Database schema. ● Setup a CI/CD flow to deploy the application to AWS EC2 and RDS. ● Implemented back end of the application from scratch using Python, Django. Key achievement: created an MVP of the product.
