As Head of IT my key responsibilities and duties 1. Manage a team of personnel to most effectively deliver the IT strategy (4 departments, 17 FTEs) - Manages the team of IT personnel: providing expert technical advice, guidance, direction and authorization within the Information Technology department; - Conducts routine regional meetings to gather feedback on technological issues in the company and track effectiveness of department initiatives; - Develops detailed plans for projects implementation: delegating responsibilities, allocating resources, establishing priorities, tracking progress, determining if needs have changed and monitoring costs; - Conducts annual and mid-year performance reviews for all direct reports, provides direction and guidance to personnel in the department, and determines opportunities for professional development through succession planning and educational opportunities for all regional IT personnel; - Develops appropriate goals, objectives, standards, and policies to ensure personnel have clear direction and can function most effectively to meet the Region’s overall business strategy and to ensure effective integration of information systems and systems compliance; - Communicates goals and educates department personnel in new technologies and Company systems as needed, ensures that IT personnel have the tools necessary to execute regional IT strategy; - Builds the capabilities of the team to enhance IT’s ability to achieve financial and operating strategy: hiring appropriately, leveraging the talents of the function, and taking corrective action where necessary. 2.
