We’ve been working with Oxford Economics for over seven years, supporting their digital transformation as they scale their economic research services. With over 30,000 economic reports delivered daily through their platform, our goal has been to ensure the technology behind it keeps pace with the company’s global reach and high volume of content. When they first approached us, their platform was built on outdated infrastructure, limiting the speed and flexibility with which they could deliver critical, time-sensitive data to users. Additionally, their internal tools made it difficult for economists to efficiently upload and organize reports. Our team modernized the entire system, starting with the development of a new, high-performance website that not only enhanced usability but also aligned with Oxford Economics’ reputation as a global leader in forecasting. We also built a personalized customer portal where subscribers can easily search, filter, and receive real-time updates on topics of interest. A key milestone in the collaboration was building an improved content ingestion process. We developed a powerful importer that allows economists to upload reports directly from Word documents, which are then automatically tagged and categorized for easy discovery on the platform. Our long-term partnership continues to focus on performance, scalability, and customer experience — ensuring Oxford Economics can deliver reliable insights to its clients, faster and more efficiently than ever.v

Datacoves

We partnered with Sophilabs to address the challenge of finding full-time, highly qualified developers. After struggling with talent availability, we turned to their staff augmentation services and built a dedicated team that now works as an extension of our in-house team. Sophilabs currently provides us with eight engineers specialized in Python, Django, Go, and QA, fully integrated into our core development efforts. Their management team, including Adam (Sales Director) and Fernando (Staff Manager), plays a key role in the day-to-day collaboration, ensuring fast and proactive communication through Slack and email. Although I wasn’t part of the original decision-making process, the company had worked with Sophilabs before and chose to re-engage based on past positive experiences. Since 2019, we’ve invested between $300,000–$600,000, and the engagement is still ongoing. The impact has been clear: the technical quality of their engineers meets our expectations, and their cultural fit has exceeded them. Career Village

We partnered with CareerVillage to help them grow their user base and boost student engagement, which was falling short of the impact they originally envisioned. Beyond visible UX issues, the platform faced deeper challenges — outdated technology, a fragile codebase, and a deployment pipeline that couldn’t support rapid iteration. Over the course of a five-year partnership, we worked closely with their internal team to modernize their entire tech stack. We upgraded Django from a deprecated version to the latest available at the time, refactored the codebase for long-term maintainability, and implemented a robust deployment process using Docker and Jenkins. On the front end, we migrated critical parts of the system to React, enabling a full site redesign that aligned with CareerVillage’s new brand. This upgrade delivered a smoother, more trustworthy user experience — essential for encouraging students to seek and rely on career advice through the platform. We also adapted the site for mobile access, ensuring students could use it from anywhere, anytime. Page load times were improved significantly, contributing to better engagement and accessibility. This work not only improved the performance and usability of the platform, but also set CareerVillage up with a stronger technical foundation for future growth and social impact.
