Senior Test Engineer (TypeScript/Cypress) - Remote Energy Sector

Key Responsibilities - Architect and implement end-to-end test automation frameworks utilizing TypeScript 5.3+ and Cypress 13.x for sophisticated energy management applications. - Develop and maintain comprehensive test suites that ensure functionality, reliability, and performance across multi-vendor and multi-provider ecosystems. - Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria. - Execute automated and manual tests across diverse platforms and environments to ensure consistent quality. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and track defects through resolution. - Participate actively in agile ceremonies and propel continuous improvement initiatives. - Perform thorough regression testing and validate fixes prior to production deployment. - Generate detailed test reports and communicate results effectively to stakeholders. - Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration. - Conduct rigorous performance and load testing to ensure system stability under various conditions. Required Skills - Minimum 3+ years of experience in software testing with an emphasis on automation. - Strong proficiency in TypeScript and extensive experience with Cypress framework for frontend testing. - Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end testing of complex, multi-vendor and multi-provider ecosystems. - Ability to comprehend business requirements and translate them into effective test objectives, scenarios, and cases. - Proven experience with test management systems, unit testing methodologies, and API testing tools. - Hands-on experience with continuous integration platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI). - Knowledge of performance testing and monitoring tools (JMeter, k6, Grafana). - Experience working in agile environments and remote team settings. - Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams. Nice to Have - Experience in the energy industry or analogous regulated sectors. - Knowledge of SCADA systems and energy management platforms. - Familiarity with Jest, Mocha, or other JavaScript testing frameworks. - Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured. - Understanding of BDD approaches and tools like Cucumber. - Background in performance optimization and troubleshooting. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Knowledge of security testing principles and practices. - Certification in testing methodologies (ISTQB). Project Details This is a full-time, remote position for an initial duration of 5 months with substantial possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.
