BET Software is one of the most diverse betting software providers in Sub-Saharan Africa. • Data Migration. Various data migration projects to move data from our legacy systems transitioning into new data management and storage technologies, resulting in improved performance on query handling and processing of large transactional volumes across our environments. • Report Migration. I have successfully migrated mobile reports from the old Datazen reporting platform to the Power BI platform which offers various custom visualizations. The Power BI dashboards are now updating the visuals with the latest data and information facilitating quick problem-solving and identifying opportunities. • Performance and Tuning. Constantly involved in optimising the speed and efficiency of our BI solutions and reporting to ensure Users can access and analyse data effectively and efficiently. • Data Visualization. Developing reports and dashboards in SSRS and Power BI. This resulted in real-time reporting and tracking of business key performance indicators (KPIs) across product offerings. • ETL Pipelines. Successfully developed and deployed various ETL pipelines to collect data from various source systems and integrate the data into our data warehouse using Kafka Streaming to handle our high transaction volumes into our data warehouse for reporting. • Task Prioritising. Actively involved in sprint planning sessions to promote team collaboration, transparency, and a shared understanding of the work to be done. • Documenting of process. Led various business processes documenting processes to improve consistency, compliance with coding standards and facilitating improvements. I set up a repository and made it mandatory for all team members. • Support. Actively take up stand-by calls to support the 24-hour operation of our business. • Mentoring. I have been actively involved in the graduate program focusing on nurturing the skills and talents of emerging professionals in the BI.

The Group provides end-to-end data services and solutions offerings, including Data Strategy, Data Engineering, Data Visualization and Data Analytics. Some of my achievements are the following: • Platform Migration. As the MIS Developer, I participated in a project of migrating data platforms from Capitec`s legacy system called Symmetric Multiprocessing (SMP) to Parallel Data Warehouse hosted by Analytics Parallel System. The migration of the ETL jobs resulted in processing data more than 50 times faster than the legacy SMP system. • Reports development. I developed reports and dashboards using QlikView and SSRS, generating extensive results faster. The load time of many of the reports was under the 30-second benchmark the company had set. This resulted in the right data to be available to the right users at the right time. • RAB Team Representative. I was a MIS team representative in the daily (Release Advisory Board) RAB meetings. These meetings brought visibility on the deployments of the day and notified all the relevant teams affected, highlighting, and mitigating the risks involved. • Stakeholder Coordination. Coordinated the convening of the various business stakeholders not limited to Executive members. This involved timely project status updates and requirement gathering, deployments and project signoffs. I can confidently communicate with team members of different levels. • Documentation. I coordinated documentation of business processes in confluence to standardize business processes, ensuring consistency and onboarding of new employees helping with processes, procedures, and requirements.

Implemented and managed BI solutions that improved data analysis and reporting, resulting in more informed business decisions. I led a team deploying a BI platform that increased operational efficiency and reduced manual reporting efforts by 30%. • Data Visualization. Created an interactive dashboard with dimensions and measures for self-service reporting to enhance data comprehension. I utilized various data visualization tools not limited to QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI and SSRS. • Data Integration. I developed data validation and quality checks between source and target destination to ensure correct data loads to the Data Warehouse. I achieved data integration projects that Improved the creation of QVDs (QlikView Data Files) that improved the reload times of QlikView Applications. • Team Collaboration. Conducted in-depth data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities, leading to actionable business insights. I collaborated with business stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and create reports that supported their decision-making. • SQL and Data Modeling. Designed and maintained data models and databases, optimizing query performance, and ensuring data accuracy. Utilized SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data efficiently. The queries were highly optimized to ensure data would be available to the users when required. • Automation and Efficiency. Automated manual reporting processes, through implementing triggers in the reload pipeline.
