React Native Developer – Video App (Full-Time, Remote)

We’re looking for a skilled React Native Developer (Middle or Senior level) to join an international game development company building a next-generation mobile application for short-form video series. 

If you’re passionate about crafting flawless, animated mobile UIs and delivering seamless video playback, this full-time remote role is for you.

You’ll collaborate with both frontend and backend teams to bring this video-centric product to life—ensuring smooth playback, high responsiveness, and excellent user engagement. 

Key Responsibilities

- You’ll be contributing to the full development cycle of the mobile application—from interface design to performance optimization.

- Develop complex UI components with transitions, gestures, and animations using React Native.

- Integrate and fine-tune mobile video player functionality to ensure uninterrupted playback.

- Implement secure and reliable in-app payments using payment libraries (Stripe, RevenueCat).

- Optimize app performance for Android and iOS platforms.

- Collaborate closely with frontend and backend teams to align on API usage, architecture, and production timelines.

- Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.

- Follow Agile processes, including sprints and code reviews.

- Contribute to a stable release on schedule and monitor app metrics post-launch.

Required Skills and Experience

- To succeed in this role, you must be a results-driven React Native developer with at least 4 years of experience and strong communication skills.

- 4+ years of experience with mobile development, including at least 3 years with React Native.

- Proven experience creating sophisticated UIs with animations, gestures, and custom elements.

- Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and component-based architecture.

- Experience with React Navigation, Redux or similar state management tools.

- Hands-on experience integrating payment libraries (Stripe, Apple/Google Pay, RevenueCat).

- Familiarity with video services (ExoPlayer, AVPlayer, Mux, JW Player) is a big plus.

- Comfortable working with REST APIs and debugging performance issues.

- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

- Fluent English and ability to work across distributed teams.

Nice to Have

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for React Native apps (Fastlane, Bitrise).

- Familiarity with mobile analytics and crash reporting tools (Firebase, Sentry).

- Exposure to animation libraries like Reanimated, Lottie, or React Native Animatable.

- Understanding of native modules and bridging in iOS/Android.

- Previous experience in video streaming or entertainment platforms.
