Senior Azure Cloud Engineer - IaC, Terraform, Automation
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement sophisticated automated deployment scenarios for complex environments encompassing distributed applications, cloud resources, third-party integrations, and on-premise infrastructure components.
- Collaborate strategically with project leaders and Product Groups to identify emerging deployment opportunities and develop comprehensive automation roadmaps.
- Conduct thorough analysis of dependencies between application components and infrastructure resources to ensure frictionless deployment processes.
- Seamlessly integrate automated deployment workflows with release management systems across multiple development teams.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices to guarantee consistency, security, and scalability across all cloud resources.
- Continuously optimize existing automation pipelines to enhance operational efficiency and reduce infrastructure costs.
- Develop meticulous documentation for deployment architectures and configuration standards.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of deployment issues and implement robust solutions to maintain 99.9%+ system reliability.
Required Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Azure principles, architecture patterns, and management frameworks.
- Thorough knowledge of enterprise Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and release management processes for cloud services.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Azure Management Services, including:
- Azure Resource Manager (ARM) with advanced template development capabilities.
- Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including YAML-based workflow configurations.
- Azure Automation for sophisticated process orchestration and configuration management.
- Azure Active Directory for enterprise-grade identity and access governance.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting (7.x+) and PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC).
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing automation solutions and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Practical experience with modern IaC tools such as Azure Bicep, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance frameworks, and threat mitigation strategies.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and meticulous attention to technical details.
- Fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal) for effective cross-team collaboration.

- Experience implementing Microsoft Defender for Cloud (formerly Azure Security Center) security policies and controls.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Identity (formerly Azure Advanced Threat Protection) and related security technologies.
- Expertise in Active Directory services, hybrid identity solutions, and conditional access policies.
- Professional certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Apps.
- Proficiency with advanced monitoring solutions including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Background in multi-cloud deployment strategies and cross-platform integration architectures.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and embedding security controls within infrastructure templates.
