Key Responsibilities - Orchestrate comprehensive functional testing of web applications and services, meticulously documenting results in detailed test reports. - Execute thorough client-server API testing using contemporary testing tools and methodologies to ensure seamless integration. - Craft robust test plans and detailed test scenarios from scratch based on technical requirements or valuable input from development teams. - Foster constant communication with development teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the development lifecycle. - Author and assign well-documented bug tickets to developers with crystal-clear reproduction steps and appropriate priority levels. - Investigate and address user-reported bugs from technical support, ensuring swift resolution and transparent communication. - Conduct systematic manual testing across multiple browsers and devices, cataloging all findings in the project task management system. - Perform root cause analysis of errors and user-reported issues to prevent recurrence and bolster system stability. - Test and provide ongoing support for company web services, ensuring consistent performance and unfaltering reliability. - Participate in regular sprint planning and retrospective meetings to continuously refine quality processes. Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years of experience in manual quality assurance for web applications. - Proven expertise in functional and API testing methodologies and best practices. - Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance principles. - Experience creating comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. - Proficiency with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and TestRail. - Excellent understanding of REST API testing principles and tools like Postman or Insomnia. - Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing on various devices. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote teams. - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Nice to Have - Working knowledge of Java programming (JDK 17+) for better understanding of backend code behavior. - Experience with Selenide 6.x and JUnit 5 testing frameworks for potential involvement in automation initiatives. - Familiarity with load testing tools like JMeter 5.5+, Gatling, or Locust for performance testing contributions. - Understanding of SQL and database concepts for more effective backend testing. - Previous experience working with educational or government service platforms. - Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. - Basic scripting skills (Python 3.x or Bash) for test environment setup.
