Senior System Analyst - Remote Banking Project | SQL, REST, SOAP

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop comprehensive system documentation including business requirement documents (BRD), functional specification documents (FSD), and architectural requirements for banking systems.

- Conduct thorough expert reviews of existing information systems, evaluating their alignment with architectural standards and identifying improvement opportunities.

- Build effective relationships with cross-functional teams across bank divisions involved in development, testing, and implementation processes.

- Analyze complex business needs and translate them into technical requirements and system specifications that drive stakeholder value.

- Maintain and update documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and relevance in a fast-paced banking environment.

- Provide technical consulting to stakeholders, offering expertise on system capabilities and constraints while facilitating informed decision-making.

- Design and optimize cross-system integrations using SOAP and REST protocols to ensure secure, efficient data transmission.

- Validate that all system components adhere to architectural principles, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot integration issues and recommend solutions that maintain system integrity.

Required Skills:

- 5+ years of experience as a System Analyst, with significant exposure to banking or financial services projects.

- Demonstrable expertise working with system documentation, project specifications, schematics, and models in complex IT environments.

- Proficient understanding of information system design standards and architectural principles that govern enterprise systems.

- Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server 2022 and Oracle 21c database management systems with practical SQL query experience.

- Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices concepts applicable to modern banking platforms.

- Proven ability to develop detailed analytical documents including BRD and FSD that effectively communicate technical requirements.

- Excellent comprehension of cross-system integration principles and practices within enterprise environments.

- Thorough understanding of SOAP and REST API standards, implementation methods, and security considerations.

- Exceptional communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical teams.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

- Experience with cloud-based banking systems on major platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in banking (Basel III, GDPR, PSD2).

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and business process modeling notation (BPMN 2.0).

- Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee, MuleSoft, or Kong.

- Certifications in business analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or system architecture (TOGAF).

- Experience implementing or integrating payment processing systems or digital banking platforms.

- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for microservices deployment.
